Tim and Theresa Morrow, Ottawa, announce the engagement of their son, Timothy Morrow, Emporia, to Susan McWhirter, Emporia.

She is the daughter of Ken and Connie McWhirter, Moran.

Her grandparents are Quentin and Irena Kilgore, Sterling; and James and Velma McWhirter, New Wilmington, Pa.

His grandparents are Mary Alice Lasseter, Ottawa; and Mary Morrow, Ottawa.

She is a 2007 graduate of Moran High School and a 2012 graduate from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She works as an RN at Newman Regional Health Hospital in Emporia.

He is a 2007 graduate of Ottawa High School and will graduate in May 2013 from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business.

Their wedding is scheduled for Sept. 28, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church in Iola.
