Lilly Hall led the group in singing, “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” in a round. Tori Hall and Gabriela Sanchez led the Pledge of Allegiance. Minutes from last month’s meeting were read and approved.
For the treasurer’s report, Nikki Delana reported that the club has a balance of $791.56. There are no bills at this time.
In the leader’s report, the newsletter was discussed. Also, members were encouraged to sign up for a committee if they hadn’t done so already. The club needs to send two people to the county council meeting Nov. 26.
Types of service projects were discussed as new business. Examples included reading to kids, visiting a nursing home or fixing basketball goals in Rantoul.
Gabriela Sanchez moved to do a gift exchange at the December meeting with a limit of $5. Lilly Hall seconded the motion, and the motion passed.
Karrenna talked about record books and showed hers.
Lilly Hall moved to adjourn the meeting. Joshua Born seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
For the treasurer’s report, Lisa Born reported the club had a balance of $799.36. A deposit of $7.80 was reported for aluminum cans.
In the leader’s report, it was noted everyone should plan to attend the new family dinner Feb. 7. Enrollment cards should be turned in as soon as possible, and 4-H concession stands will be updated.
Gabriella Sanchez moved that the club adopt a family for Christmas with $50. Tori Hall seconded the motion, which passed.
Plates of cookies were made for local businesses. The club exchanged the $5 gifts, dirty-Santa style.
Lilly Hall moved to adjourn the meeting. Brandy Sanders seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned with the 4-H pledge at 7:04 p.m.
