Roll call was answered to, “What do you want for Christmas?” Seventeen members were present.
The minutes from the October and November meetings were read and approved, as were the bills in the treasurer’s report. There was no leader’s report due to illness.
The council representative asked each club member to remember to check out the Facebook page of the 4-H Council and Frontier Extension District. The Angel Tree committee reported that all presents had been bought and delivered. The club spent $75 on a boy and $75 on a girl.
The Christmas plate committee provided plates, tags and wrappings for “treat plates” that were assembled from donations brought in by all club members. The “treat plates” were then distributed to longtime supporters of the children in our community and our 4-H club. The recreation committee joined with the Williamsburg United Methodist Church in caroling throughout Williamsburg while riding on two hay wagons. Pizza was donated for the meal. Cookies and cocoa were provided after the caroling.
The Burg Go-Getters would like to thank the Williamsburg United Methodist Church for sharing in the evening, in addition to the following entities for donating pizza: Jo Ann Duvall, the Sims Family, the Horne Family, Cap Crabb, Pizza Hut, Buzzard’s Pizza, Rita Milliken, Norma Steward and Pass the Time. The next meeting is 7 p.m. Jan. 14. Programs will be presented by Riley and Aly Milliken and Sabrina Carlson. Hosts are the McCurdys and the Carlsons. New members always are welcome.
