ESU also has released the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences dean’s list for the Fall 2012 semester. To qualify for the list, students must earn a semester GPA that puts them in the top 10 percent of all students enrolled in full-time undergraduate student within the college and have a cumulative 3.5 GPA for all Emporia State courses.

Additionally, more than 150 students were honored during the First-Year Scholars Reception Feb. 12 at ESU. The event honored first-year students at ESU who earned a 3.5 or higher GPA in their first semester.
Local students invited were Victoria Blaufuss of Garnett; Taylor Huettenmueller of Garnett; Montana Reno of Pomona; and Emily Scheckel, Ottawa.
ESU President Dr. Michael D. Shonrock addressed the group along with Dr. Shelly Gehrke, associate provost and director of the Student Advising Center.
During the reception, students learned more about the honors program and were able to talk with deans of colleges and department chairs.
