Many thanks to those who worked hard and never gave up.
In celebration of Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County’s 20th Anniversary, Cliff Burke, founding board member, spoke of our history, and Wynndee Lee, founder and past president, provided three beautiful scrapbooks for us to peruse. We also enjoyed a slideshow originally done by Carine Ullom, past president (edited by Jim McGill, past board member) featuring homes we have built, a few of our families and volunteers, along with history and organizational information. It was wonderful to have to our special guest, Kay Pedersen, whose dedication, passion and leadership, has been missed since she moved out of town.
The auction was an “Auction a cause.” We made bids to sponsor parts of the new house we plan to build in the fall of 2014. People bid on doors, lighting, carpeting, etc. We even got a few people to pledge $10 per month for a year.
