Roll call was answered by 11 members sharing their favorite fall flower. Janet Radcliffe made a motion to approve the minutes as read with changes to the spelling of Lila’s last name. Liz Smith seconded the motion, which passed. The treasurer’s report was given by Liz. Virginia made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report. Janet seconded the motion, which passed.
Bonnie shared the South Central Region Newsletter. Next year’s regional conference will be July 30 to Aug. 1 in Tulsa. The ITE student from the South Central region is from St. Petersburg, Russia.
Lila Reekie made the motion to donate $25 to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival in lieu of working, which the club will take from its treasury. Virginia seconded the motion, which passed.
Janet shared notes from Hope House. Virginia brought the historian’s book to share with members.
Liz was to send in the membership form by Oct. 15.
Bonnie, Diane Lang, Virginia and Patty Nelson received door prizes of a small box of Russell Stover candy.
The Oct. 8 meeting was to be at 4:30 p.m. at Lila’s home with a Founder’s Day celebration. There was a special collection for the Literature Festival at the meeting. Members also paid dues at the meeting.
