I am so thankful that our surrounding community has not lost its ability to care and act. I offer two examples:
My husband fell outside our home early one day last week. A gentleman passing by stopped to give aid. My husband was unable to tell him where he lived, so the gentleman called 911. He then stayed with my husband until the officers arrived.
In all the commotion, I failed to get his name. I was sick when I realized he had left. I sincerely hope he did not jeopardize how own work schedule for being late. I want him to know how grateful I am for him.
On Saturday, my husband fell in the parking lot at Walmart. The staff was unbelievably hands-on and caring. Again, no fear of doing something wrong in the situation. Only helping. I want to publicly thank all involved.
These are only two examples of goodness in our community. I thank God daily for this blessing.
