Role was called by asking, “What is your least favorite kind of candy?” New business included a controversial debate over whether or not members should replace the club’s traditional Thanksgiving dinner with a cookie exchange next month. A tied vote of 10-10 was broken by the president. Cookies it is!
A new member, Josiah Gordinier, was initiated and welcomed into the club. Aaron Campbell executed a superb PowerPoint presentation about the different types of beef cuts. Lauren Paddock entertained the club by playing the song “My Favorite Things” on the piano. A vocal performance of “Amazing Grace” was given by Rebecca Vrbas. It was announced that 4-H Sunday would be Oct. 14, at the OU Lodge at Pomona Lake, with fellowship starting at 8:15 a.m. and the worship service at 8:30 a.m. Next month’s meeting will be Nov. 12. The people scheduled for next month’s program are Rachel, Monica and Miranda Vrbas.
