The secretary and treasurer’s report both were given and approved as read.
Mrs. Ginger Judd, club leader, gave the leader’s report. She explained to the families that the county will have a 4-H New Families Dinner 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6, 2014, in Pomona. She discussed that County Club Days would be Feb. 15, 2014, at West Franklin High School. She also told the members that the Franklin County 4-H Council Meeting was to be Nov. 25. Mrs. Ginger also informed members that the club received a blue ribbon for achieving and accomplishing its goals this past 4-H year.
The club moved to old business, and a motion was made to create a club banner this year as well as continue with the donations and progress of the concessions for the Old Appanoose Gym Craft Show Dec. 7. Sign-ups would be available for work times and donations for the concession stand. In new business, Mrs. Prouty brought Christmas cards for all the members to sign so that the cards could be sent to military men and women for the holiday season.
The song leaders, Lynsi Sink and Trent Horton led the membership in “Old McDonald had a Farm” and the meeting ended with a game of “Find Your Turkey” relay created by Katie and Chloe Ecord. The next Appanoose Trailblazers meeting was scheduled for Dec. 4.
