She is the daughter of James and Lorie Weaver, Junction City, and the granddaughter of Jane Shields and the late Robert Shields; and MaryAnn Yokum and the late Jim Yokum, Ottawa.
He is the son of Mike and Betty Deiter, Silver Lake, and the grandson of Verneda Valburg and the late Olin Valburg, Wheaton; and the late Robert and Jean Deiter, Silver Lake.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father and given away by her parents.
Pastor James Bender officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride wore an ivory trumpet silhouette gown with a sweetheart neckline, beaded and lace bodice and the skirt of the gown had silk organza that flared out into a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of plum and tangerine calla lilies, hypercom berries, curly willow, and an assortment of roses.
Matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Andrea Lauppe, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Bridesmaids were cousin of the bride, Katie Wiley, Aspen, Colorado; and friends of the bride, Mandi Whitaker, Springfield, Missouri, Anjelica Scheidt, Chapman, Jessica Fox, Manhattan, Katie Clifford, Cozad, Nebraska, and Amber Boeckman, Seneca.
Groomsmen were the groom’s friends, Jeff Murdock, Overland Park, and Michael Christopher, Marty Pfannenstiel, Austin Abbott, Andy Christopher and Keaton Taylor, all of Silver Lake.
Ushers were the bride’s brother-in-law, Shane Lauppe, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and her cousin, Brandon Wiley, Summerville, South Carolina.
Candle lighters were the groom’s sister, Megan Deiter, Silver Lake, and friend of the bride, Nicole Buse, White City. The flower girl and ring bearer were cousin’s of the groom, Paige and Colby Altevogt, Manhattan.
Vocalist was the bride’s uncle, Mike Quinn, St. Georges, Grenada. Reader was her aunt, Janet Murphy, Jacksonville, Florida.
A reception dinner and dance followed the ceremony at Heritage Hall, Topeka.
The couple’s honeymoon was to Oahu, Hawaii.
They now reside in Eudora.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Chapman High School and a May 2012 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies, emphasis in human resource management. She works as an architecture and engineering recruiter at Aerotek in Overland Park.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Silver Lake High School and a December 2010 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He works as a civil engineer in the Road Design division for the Kansas Department of Transportation in Topeka.
