A 54-year-old Ottawa man was arrested Monday afternoon in connection with a pedestrian hit-and-run incident at the corner of 15th and Cedar streets in Ottawa.

David Cook was arrested by Ottawa police on suspicion of duty to give information and render aid, duty to report an accident and disobeying a stop sign, according to a police report.

Cook is accused of driving a vehicle that struck Hannah Thomas, 18, Ottawa, and then fled the scene about 3:49 p.m. Monday at 15th and Cedar streets. Thomas declined medical attention at the scene, according to a police report.

Officers later located and arrested Cook, who was cited and released, police said.
