A 2001 Ford Focus driven by Samantha Moon was traveling north in the 4100 block of Tennessee Road about 10:45 p.m. Monday when Moon swerved to miss an animal in the road and lost control of the vehicle, according to a Franklin County Sheriff’s report. The Focus left the road and rolled several times — ejecting Moon from the vehicle, the sheriff’s report said.
Moon was transported by ambulance to Overland Park Regional Medical Center with what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries, Jerrod Fredricks, master deputy with the sheriff’s office, said.
Moon was not wearing a seat belt, Fredricks said.
