The victim reported to Franklin County Sheriff’s officers that she was battered, forced into her car at gunpoint in the 200 block of South Kallock Street in Richmond and then made to drive to the 300 block of Main Street in Princeton, where one of the suspects, Joshua Franks, 22, Richmond, drove away in her vehicle, according to a sheriff’s report.
Franks was arrested early Monday by sheriff’s officers on suspicion of aggravated robbery and kidnapping. Robin Williams, 46, Richmond, also was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery and criminal restraint as an alleged accomplice in the case, according to a sheriff’s report.
Franks and Williams were booked about 5 a.m. Monday into Franklin County jail, 305 S. Main St., Ottawa, where they remained Monday afternoon awaiting court appearances.
Details remained sketchy Monday. It was not clear if the victim knew the suspects, nor the motivation for the abduction and robbery.
Because of the continuing investigation, the sheriff’s office could not release more details, Jerrod Fredricks, master deputy with the sheriff’s office, said in an email Monday afternoon.
