Police Department Arrests
• 10:47 a.m. Monday, 500 block of North Main Street, Michael Gunnels, 28, Ottawa, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamines, marijuana and paraphernalia after being stopped for a traffic infraction, according to a police report.
• 4:28 p.m. Monday, 1100 block of South Maple Street, a 17-year-old Ottawa boy was arrested on suspicion of battering his 13-year-old brother, according to a police report.
• 3:08 p.m. Tuesday, 800 block of South Cherry Street, Leonard M. Collins, 48, Ottawa, on suspicion of domestic battery.
• 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, 1400 block of South Ash Street, Lindsay Hurley, 31, Ottawa, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Thefts
• 7:50 a.m. Monday, 4100 block of Iowa Terrace, a Franklin County Road and Bridge worker reported an unknown suspect stole gravel from a wind row in the 4100 block of Iowa Terrace.
• 10:24 a.m. Monday, 2300 block of Indiana Road, an 80-year-old Williamsburg man reported someone entered his barn and stole approximately 200 “T” fence posts valued at $800.
• 3:15 p.m. Monday, 2100 block of Vermont Road, a 43-year-old Waverly man reported the theft of copper wire from two aircraft de-icers. Total loss and damage was estimated at $4,000.

• 6:18 p.m. Tuesday, 800 block of South Tremont Street, a 44-year-old Ottawa woman reported she was contacted by a 43-year-old Merriam man, violating a protection from abuse order.
Thefts
• 4:29 p.m. Monday, Walmart Supercenter, 2101 S. Princeton St., a 24-year-old Topeka woman reported an unknown male suspect stole items from the store.
• 7:45 p.m. Monday, Walmart Supercenter, 2101 S. Princeton St., a 51-year-old Ottawa woman reported a known female suspect stole items from the store.
Accidents
• 12:28 p.m. Monday, 1700 block of South Chestnut Street, a vehicle driven by Brooke Riffell, 32, Ottawa, and a vehicle driven by Raymond Boehm, 80, Ottawa, were both backing from driveways when they struck each other.
