Rollo Franklin Knight, 100, Pomona, Kan., died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.
Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Dengel & Son Mortuary with Masonic services by McKinley Lodge No. 41, A.F.A.M. Pomona. Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Knight from 1 p.m. Wednesday to the service hour at Dengel & Son Mortuary, where the family will meet with friends at 1 p.m. Thursday. Interment is planned for Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kan.
He was born Monday, January 22, 1912, in Ottawa, Kan., the son of Bertie Almerson and Edith Maye (Harvey) Knight.
Rollo was a lifelong Osage/Franklin county resident, living in the Pomona area for the past 50 years.
He graduated from Quenemo High School with the class of 1932.
Rollo was united in marriage to Audra Louise Hughes April 4, 1936, in Ottawa. She preceded him in death Dec. 17, 1988.
He then married Reta Redman (Bourne) Dec. 30, 1989, in Ottawa. She survives of the home.
Rollo worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 20 years and Safeway for 20 years as a produce manager, retiring in 1977.
He was a member of the Ottawa First Christian Church; life member of the McKinley Lodge No. 41, A.F. & A.M. Pomona; Eastern Star Pomona; Lyons Club Pomona; and Wifani Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Reta Knight, Ottawa, Kan.; adopted family, Landon and Brenda Fletcher and children, Leslie and Stacey, Cassville, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Audra Hughes; parents, Bertie and Edith Knight; sister, Laura Turner; and brothers, Bill, Bud and Virgil Knight.
