Vera Mae Grey, 72, Ottawa, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Ottawa Retirement Village.
Cremation is planned. Inurnment is planned for a later date.
She was born Sunday, March 24, 1940, in Ottawa, the daughter of Ralph and Nellie (Gay) Latimer.
Vera was a lifelong Ottawa resident.
Vera worked for the Lee’s Downtowner as a cook in the 1960s and 1970s, at Platner Industries as a line worker in the 1970s, and at Crestview Nursing Home as a dietician for six years, retiring in 1980.
Survivors include a son, Randy Grey, Ottawa; daughters, Cindy Tegtmeyer and her husband, Dale, Ottawa, and Dianna Mertz, Seguin, Texas; a sister, Vivian Ebert, Seguin, Texas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Alfred Grey Jr.; parents, Ralph and Nellie Latimer; four brothers, Roy, Ronnie, Ralph Jr., and Richard Latimer; and two sisters, Violet Wills and Viola Miller.
