Doris L. Crumb, 85, Ottawa, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Richmond Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
Graveside services are planned for a later date. Family will meet with friends 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Inurnment is planned for Powhattan Cemetery, Powhattan.
She was born Tuesday, June 14, 1927, in Powhattan, the daughter of Albert and Goldie (Oldridge) Wenger.
Doris has lived in Ottawa since 2005, moving from Ava, Mo. She previously had lived in Colorado for 15 years and in Powhattan, Kan., for 55 years.
She graduated from Powhattan High School with the class of 1945.
On Feb. 22, 1947, Doris was united in marriage to Carol Crumb in Powhattan. He survives of the home.
Doris was a loving and devoted homemaker.
Doris was a member of Powhattan Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary Powhattan and the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ivan, Delbert and Lloyd Wenger; and a daughter, Vickie Crumb.
Survivors include her husband, Carol Crumb, Ottawa; two daughters, Carolyn Bailey and her companion, John Kossuth, Ottawa, and Sheril Crumb and her companion, Carl King, Clark Ridge, Ark.; a son, Gary Crumb and wife, Nancy, Emporia; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association through Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa KS 66067.
