Ruby G. Huss, 105, Princeton, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012.
Cremation is planned. A graveside service is planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at Highland Cemetery.
She was born Wednesday, June 19, 1907, in Fostoria, the daughter of Oscar James and Sara Kathrine (McMurdo) Tindell.
She lived in Kansas City after her marriage and moved to Ottawa in 1974.
Ruby was a homemaker and years ago worked about a year at the White Lakes Country Club and about a year at Walgreens in Topeka.
She attended the Community Revival Center Church in Ottawa.
Ruby was united in marriage with Ralph E. Thompson. They later divorced.
On Tuesday, May 15, 1945, Ruby was united in marriage with Paul Leslie Huss at Topeka. He preceded her in death Oct. 1, 1976.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Huss; parents, Oscar and Kathrine Tindell; son, Robert E. Thompson; daughter-in-law, Eva Thompson; brother, Douglas Tindell; four sisters, Ilda C. Cooper, Merle Michael, Grace Mings and Della Mills; and great-granddaughter, Nickii Thompson.
Survivors include two sons, William R. Thompson, Pomona, and Jerry W. Thompson and his wife, Ronalee, Ottawa; two daughters, Ilda “Deanie” Streebin and her husband, George, Wellsville, and Paula Huss, Princeton; daughter-in-law, Peg Thompson, Osage City; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Salvation Army or Prairie Paws Animal Shelter through Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa KS 66067.
