Vivian M. Weien, 57, Ottawa, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012.
Cremation is planned. Family and friends will meet 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Inurnment is planned for a later date.
She was born Saturday, Feb. 12, 1955, in Garnett, the daughter of Sylvester and Evelyn (Renyer) Lutz.
Vivian lived in Ottawa for the past 28 years, moving from Richmond. She previously had lived in the Garnett-Westphalia area.
She graduated from Garnett High School with the class of 1973, and later graduated from a floral design school in Kansas City.
On July 20, 1975, Vivian was united in marriage to Ron Weien in Welda, Kan. He survives of the home.
Vivian was a lifelong florist owning and operating A Bloomin’ Florist in Ottawa, from 1985 to 2006, now known as Turner Flowers.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Evelyn Lutz; and infant sister.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Weien, Ottawa; two sons, Ronnie Weien and wife, Manda, Plainville, and Nicklas Weien and wife, Catie, Greenville, S.C.; two sisters, Rose Highberger and husband, Maurice, Fountain Hills, Ariz., and Marcella Feuerborn and husband, Keith, Ottawa; three brothers, Rod Lutz and wife, Ann, Ottawa, Dayton Lutz and wife, Mary, Garnett, and Milton Lutz and wife, Carol, Richmond; one grandchild is expected and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Franklin County Cancer Foundation through Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa KS 66067.
