Patsy R. Davison, 85, Williamsburg, Kan., died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012.
Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012. Family will meet with friends 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday before the service. Interment is planned at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg.
She was born Sunday, Sept. 18, 1927, in Monmouth, Kan., the daughter of Alva M. and Stella F. (Ruth) Marchbanks.
Patsy lived in Oswego, Grenola, Moline and Oxford, Kan., from 1949 to 1968, moving to Williamsburg in 1968 where she made her home until her death.
She graduated from Crawford Community High School with the Class of 1944.
On Aug.31, 1947, Patsy was united in marriage with William S. Davison at McCune Methodist Church, McCune, Kan. He survives of the home.
Patsy was a lifelong homemaker working at State Bank of Pittsburg, Kan., from 1944 to 1947.
She was a member of the Williamsburg United Methodist Church and the Sadana Chapter No. 194, Order of the Eastern Star, Williamsburg. Patsy was an active volunteer for the Williamsburg Library and participated on the election board. She also was active in school activities as a school administrator’s wife.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, William Davison, of the home; a daughter, Nancy Long, Overland Park, Kan.; a son, Alan Davison, and his wife, Debbie, Richland, Mo.; grandchildren, Christopher Long and Christine Enquist-Long, Wichita, Kan., Katie Long Speakes and Jason Speakes, Arlington, Texas, David Davison, Rolla, Mo., and Amanda Davison Ferguson and Comador Ferguson, Clarksville, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Claire and Campbell Speakes, Arlington, Texas, and Isabelle Long and Alex Enquist, Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Lana Surridge, Parsons, Kan.; and a sister-in-law, Helen Marchbanks, Tulsa, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Stella Marchbanks; a brother, Merle Marchbanks; and a son-in-law, Dennis Long.
