Kenneth Caple, 61, Ottawa, passed away Nov. 30, 2012.
Graveside funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Central Cemetery, south of Pomona. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa.
He was born June 29, 1951 in Ottawa, the son of Ernest J. Caple and Nadene (Ligo) Caple. He grew up in Franklin County and graduated from Pomona High School with the class of 1970. Following high school, he graduated from Flint Hills Vocational Technology School of Emporia as a carpenter.
In 1976, Kenneth was united in marriage to Cynthia Long, they later divorced.
For more than 31 years Kenneth was employed by Brown’s Cargo Van of Lawrence, and later by Amarr garage doors of Lawrence.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father; a nephew; and an infant sister, Alice Caple.
He is survived by his mother, Nadene Caple, Ottawa; two daughters, Brandy Andrick and her husband, John, Ozawkie, and Kristin Caple, Perry; sister, Linda Jessip, Paola; nephew, Brandon Jessip, Paola; and seven grandchildren, Mariah, Destiny, Michelle, Marcus, Savannah and Keira.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Kenneth Caple Memorial Fund through Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, 712 Ninth Street, Baldwin City KS 66006.
