Susan Roxanne Baugher-Poelstra, 47, Ottawa, passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, after a short illness.
Susan was cremated. A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Cherry Street Wesleyan Church, 933 N. Cherry St., Ottawa.
She was born Sept. 23, 1965, in Ottawa to Glen and Sharon (Norton) Baugher.
A lifelong Ottawa resident, she graduated from Ottawa High School and attended Ottawa University. She most recently received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Neosho County Community College, Ottawa.
She married Jeffrey Poelstra April 1, 1994. They later divorced.
Susan was known by many in Ottawa as a server at Old 56 Restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Sharon Baugher; and a sister, Glenna Kay.
Survivors include her sons, Joshua Garr and Christian Poelstra, both of Ottawa; sister, Pamela and husband, Darren Powers; and niece, Ashley, Lawrence; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
