West Franklin led 25-6 after the first quarter and extended the lead to 37-14 at halftime.
“I thought our guys came out with a lot of energy in the first quarter,” West Franklin coach James Spencer said. “We played pretty good defense in the first quarter and was able to jump out early. It was an overall team effort.
“We looked for each other on offense. Owen Reed attacked the basket well and was able to find the open guy. We rebounded the ball well.”
Matt Gray paced the Falcons with 15 points. Brady Geist had 11.

“We had a nice aggressive first quarter then got in foul trouble and we fell apart,” Falcon coach Kyle Conley said. “We were in foul trouble all night and never could get back into the flow of the game. They are a really good team, but we certainly did not help our cause by how we played.”
West Franklin plays today at home against Osage City.
