The breakfast, which takes place each year near the end of the current mayoral term, is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. March 8 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Center, 408 S. Cedar St., Ottawa. Blake Jorgensen is Ottawa’s current mayor.
Kathleen O’Hara, superintendent of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, will be the keynote speaker.
The public event, which sells out each year, is an opportunity for community members and representatives of the Ottawa religious communities to come together for fellowship and friendship, according to a City of Ottawa news release.
Tickets are $10 and only available in advance. They can be purchased at the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce, 109 E. Second St., Ottawa, or at the city manager’s office on the second floor of City Hall, 101 S. Hickory St., Ottawa. For tickets or additional information, call Leslie Quillen, executive assistant to the city manager, at (785) 229-3637, or email her at lquillen@ottawaks.gov
