Kansas Lt. Gov. Dr. Jeffrey W. Colyer, Overland Park, plans to open his office at the RMH Medical Arts Building, 1402 S. Main St., Ottawa, facility in November, Brenda Pfizenmaier, a hospital spokeswoman, said Wednesday. Few details were available Wednesday about Colyer’s new alliance with the hospital, 1301 S. Main St., Ottawa.
Colyer was traveling Wednesday and was unavailable for comment. Larry Felix, the hospital’s chief executive officer, also could not be reached Wednesday. But Pfizenmaier confirmed the plan is for Colyer to expand his practice to Ottawa next month. Residents will have an opportunity to meet Colyer during a reception 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 13 in the hospital’s conference room.
Republicans Gov. Sam Brownback and Colyer were elected to their gubernatorial positions in 2010.
