Two suspects who were arrested in connection with an apparent abduction and aggravated robbery Sunday night in Richmond have been charged in the case.
Joshua Franks, 22, and Robin Williams, 46, both of Richmond, were each charged Tuesday with one count of aggravated robbery, Stephen A. Hunting, Franklin County attorney, said Wednesday, and will be represented by court-appointed defense counsel.
Both defendants are being held in Franklin County Jail, 305 S. Main St., Ottawa. They are expected to make their first appearances with counsel before Judge Kevin L. Kimball at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Franklin County District Court, Hunting said.
A 22-year-old Spring Hill woman told Franklin County Sheriff’s officers she was forced into her car at gunpoint about 11 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of South Kallock Street in Richmond and then made to drive to the 300 block of Main Street in Princeton, where she said Franks drove away in her vehicle, according a sheriff’s report. Franks and his alleged accomplice, Williams, were arrested early Monday by sheriff’s officers and booked about 5 a.m. into the county jail.
