The award recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red rejection cards they are shown by referees throughout the season.
The Lady Braves (13-6-0) were just one of eight teams in the NAIA, joined by Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference member Sterling College, to receive the NSCAA Team Ethics/Sportsmanship Award.
The Lady Braves earned the Bronze Award, which is given to a team that has between 6-to-10 yellow cards and no red cards during the season.
The other NSCAA team sportmanship award winners were Carroll College, silver; Dordt College, silver; Hannibal-LaGrange University, silver; Indiana Wesleyan University, silver; Mount Vernon Nazarene University, silver; Benedictine College, silver.
