“I thought we played very well at times, especially late in the third quarter where we were able to extend our lead to eight or nine.
“Sydney Meyer responded well in the third quarter and was the difference for us in the second half. I was very happy to see the girls pull out a victory. We look forward to carrying this momentum to Garnett where we play this Friday.

GARNETT — Turnovers hurt Anderson County in its 41-32 loss Monday to Metro Academy in Garnett.
“We just kind of beat ourselves,” Anderson County coach Tim Bremerman. “We just had too many turnovers. Metro capitalized on it and scored points.
“We never could capitalize on their mistakes.”
Anderson County, which also fell to Osawatomie Tueday, plays Friday in Garnett against Central Heights. It will be homecoming.
