Holton High School senior Keri Tanking signed to play volleyball for the Lady Braves, who are coming off an undefeated Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference championship season.
Tanking is one of the top female athletes at Holton. She was on the 2011 state championship basketball team and the 2012 state runner-up squad.
The Wildcats are ranked No. 1 in 4A.
She helped lead the Holton volleyball team to fourth at state in 2011. She also qualified for state last spring in the high jump.
Tanking earned all-league honors in volleyball and named the Northeast Kansas player of the week.
Two of her siblings were Ottawa athletes.
Brother, Mike, played for the men’s basketball team, and sister, Erin, was on the volleyball team. She is an assistant coach for the Ottawa High School volleyball team.
She plans to major in psychology and human services.
