“We flat came out to play the strongest — both mentally and physically — that we have all year long,” Central Heights coach Scott Lane said.
“Sydney Meyer showed what kind of a presence she can be.”
Meyer tossed in a team-best 14 points. Brianna Erhart had 12 points. Whitney Kraus netted 11.
Central Heights plays Friday at Iola.

“The girls played pretty well,” West Franklin coach Kyle Conley said. “We gave max effort and they left everything on the floor. We were down 12 in the third quarter and it could have got out of hand, but the girls didn’t give up and battled.”
Emily Reed led the Falcons with 14 points.
West Franklin plays Feb. 15 at Burlingame.

GARNETT — Wellsville’s Erica McTaggart (16), Darcy Bonzo (15) and Ashley Sparks (10) combined for 41 points to lead the Eagles to a 55-43 win Tuesday over Anderson County in Garnett.
Anderson County was led by Jaime Mersman with 16 points.
Wellsville, which has won four straight games, plays Friday at home against Prairie View. Anderson County plays Friday at Osawatomie.
