The Vikings climbed back to a .500 record after Tuesday’s 47-37 overtime win over Wellsville in Wellsville.
Central Heights garnered the No. 4 seed in next week’s sub-state and plays 7 p.m. Monday at home against Eureka.
The Vikings, who let a 12-point halftime lead disappear, held Wellsville scoreless in the overtime.
“We had a great first half and did a great job of attacking the rim,” Central Heights coach Scott Lane said. “We had a 12-point lead and felt pretty good at halftime. In the second half, we got away from what we do well and played on our heels.
“Wellsville had all the momentum going into the overtime period, but I am so proud of my girls for bouncing back and putting together a great four minutes in overtime and not allowing them one point in that period.
“I can’t say enough about these girls. We started 0-6 and have clawed our way back to 10-10. It takes a lot of heart and hard work to make something like that happen and every girl on this team should be proud of what they have accomplished.”
Brianna Erhart led the Vikings with 18 points.
