The Cyclones shot a team score of 339.
“It was a cold day but nice for the guys to get out and compete,” Ottawa coach Cliff McCullough said. “We had an overall good day. Probably scored a little better than was expected given the conditions and being the first tournament out.
“Looking at the scores, we have room to improve with each tournament and have the potential to be a very good golf team.
“It will be exciting to see the guys grow from this point on.”
Quentin Blaue led Ottawa with an 81, which tied for 16th. Trey Rich had an 83 to tie for 24th. Austin Blaue tied for 35th with an 86. Jeff Doolittle shot an 89 to tie for 47th. Hunter Peoples had a 95 to tie for 59th.
