The Braves finished the three-round tournament at 943, which included a KCAC-best 308 in the final round. The Braves had three players finish in the top 10.
Gabe Vlasic tied for fifth (233), Michael Civitate tied for seventh (235), and freshman Austin Blaue tied for 10th (236). All three earned all-conference honors.
Hunter Earnhart was 15th (258). He had a tournament-low 75 in the third round. AJ Govert finished 34th (258).
“I was very proud of our team’s effort at the conference tournament,” Ottawa coach Wendell Smith said. “We improved each round and we were clearly the best team on the course in the third round.”
The Ottawa softball team fell twice Tuesday to Bethany College in Ottawa.
Ottawa finished second in the KCAC with a 13-5 mark behind Kansas Wesleyan.
Amber Harris and Gabby Markham had two hits each in the opener. Markham had six strikeouts in the loss.
Darin Lewis had two hits in the nightcap. Paige Williams pitched five innings with three strikeouts.
The Ottawa women’s tennis team Tuesday fell to nationally-ranked Bethel College, 9-0, at Forest Park.
The Lady Braves finished third in the KCAC and will play Saturday at Wichita in the KCAC semifinals against Bethel.
The Ottawa men’s squad lost 7-2 to Bethel.
