“The competition was tough,” Ottawa coach Eric Sparks said. “We were in every match.”
No. 1 singles player Hannah Hedges went 2-2.
No. 2 doubles tandem of Courtney Houston/Brianna Pfizenmaier also went 2-2.
No. 1 doubles team of Katie Webber/Kelsie Ferguson along with No. 2 singles player Ashlyn Rundle was 1-3.
The format was no-add, which means at deuce whoever won the next point won the game.
Sparks said Ottawa had a lot of deuce points.
“We did not win many duece points,” Sparks said. “We did not have any breaks the whole day.”
“We are getting better with every meet,” Sparks said.
Ottawa plays 3 p.m. Thursday at the Parsons Invitational.
