Schultz was a first-team selection, while Gross was on the second team. Schultz is an accounting major with a 3.59 grade point average. He led the NAIA with 12 interceptions. He is a first-team all-conference selection and helped lead Ottawa to a conference title and an 8-3 record. He broke the career mark for interceptions (20) and single-season interception return yards (267).
Gross, who had a 3.94 grade point average, led the Braves in tackles this past season with more than 80 tackles. He was an all-conference selection.
McPherson senior quarterback Jake Snodgrass headlined the team. He is one of six repeat selections and for the second year was the CoSIDA Academic All-American of the year. He is the first student-athlete to win the award on the College Division level twice. He has a 3.89 grade point average.
