The Lady Braves finally broke through for a Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference victory with a 53-42 win over the Swedes. Ottawa is tied with Bethany and Bethel with 1-3 marks heading into the holiday break.
The Lady Braves scored 19 points off 16 Bethany turnovers and had a 22-12 advantage in the paint. Ottawa scored 14 points off transition.
Ottawa led from start to finish, building a 20-point lead with 13:23 left in the game.
The Lady Braves came out hot, hitting 56 percent from the field in the first half. Ottawa led 33-20 at halftime.
