Ottawa rallied to nip Haskell, 51-49.
The Lady Braves hit three free throws in the final 26 seconds for the victory. Amber Ramsey hit two charities with 26 seconds left to give Ottawa a 50-49 lead.
Shauna McClure hit one of two free throws for a 51-49 lead with 14 seconds remaining.
The game was tight throughout with seven ties and eight lead changes. Ottawa led 27-24 at halftime.
Ottawa opened the second half with a 4-0 spurt to grab its largest lead of the game at 31-24 with 19:21 left in the second half.
Haskell scored seven stright points to tie it at 31-31 and later took a 39-33 lead, the Indians’ largest lead with 11:42 remaining.
Ottawa tied it at 41-41 on a free throw by Morgan Boore. The lead switched back-and-forth over the final seven minutes.
Shauna McClure snapped out of a scoring slump with 18 points and two steals. She fired in four treys. Amber Ramsey had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. She also had six assists and three blocks.
Angelic Frazier had nine rebounds off of the bench and two blocked shots.
Ottawa (5-9) plays 6 p.m. Saturday in an exhibition game in Kansas City, Mo., against NCAA Division II opponent Rockhurst University.
