Sheriff’s Department Arrests

• 10 a.m. Friday. Franklin County Adult Detention Center, 305 S. Main St., a 55-year-old Topeka man on a Franklin County warrant for failure to appear in court.

• 5:54 p.m. Friday, 4400 block of I-35 at milepost 199, a 43-year-old Ottawa woman on a Coffey County warrant for failure to appear in court, as well as on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and possession of depressants, according to a sheriff’s report.

• 1:31 a.m. Saturday, Franklin County Adult Detention Center, 305 S. Main St., a 36-year-old Lawrence man on a Franklin County warrant for failure to appear in court.

• 8:45 a.m. Saturday, 1500 block of I-35 at milepost 170, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Ottawa Police Department units assisted Burlington Police Department, Coffey County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kansas Highway Patrol in their pursuit of a 2004 Honda Civic that was reported stolen in Shawnee. The pursuit began in Coffey County and entered Franklin County on I-35 near Williamsburg. Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies and Ottawa police officers were able to effectively deploy tire deflation devices, according to a sheriff’s report. The suspect, Jeramie Lamm, 32, Topeka, eventually stopped at milepost 182 on I-35 where he was taken into custody by Burlington police officers. A report is being forwarded to the Franklin County Attorney’s Office for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer due to the suspect swerving toward a Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy who was deploying tire deflation devices, according to a sheriff’s report.

• 6:23 p.m. Saturday, 500 block of Monroe Street, Pomona, a 23-year-old Ottawa man on suspicion of domestic battery and criminal damage to property, after being involved in a physical altercation with a known individual, according to a sheriff’s report.

• 6:51 a.m. Sunday, 2500 block of Logan Street, a 30-year-old Gardner man on suspicion of driving while suspended, after being stopped for a traffic infraction.

• 4:10 p.m. Friday, 900 block of South Lincoln Street, a 39-year-old Ottawa woman and a 61-year-old Ottawa man on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, after being contacted during an unrelated investigation.

• 12:23 a.m. Saturday, Franklin County Adult Detention Center, 305 S. Main St., a 30-year-old Ottawa woman on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 3:40 a.m. Saturday, Franklin County Adult Detention Center, 305 S. Main St., a 36-year-old Oskaloosa man on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 10:05 p.m. Saturday, a 34-year-old Osage City woman on suspicion of driving while revoked, no insurance and illegal tag, after being stopped for a traffic violation.

Incidents

• 11:26 a.m. Friday, 100 block of Madison Street, Pomona, a 40-year-old Eudora man reported finding drug paraphernalia at an address in the 100 block of Madison Street. The paraphernalia was collected and processed as evidence, where it will be destroyed, according to a sheriff’s report.

• 5:30 p.m. Saturday, 4100 block of I-35 at milepost 195, a 29-year-old Vassar man was issued a notice to appear in court on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, after being stopped for a traffic infraction.

Accidents

• 6:05 p.m. Friday, 300 block of Madison Street, Pomona, a 2008 Honda Accord driven by Amanda Freitag, 36, Pomona, was stopped at a stop sign when the vehicle in front of her at the stop sign went into reverse and struck the front of her vehicle, according to a sheriff’s report. The striking vehicle then fled the scene. A report for fleeing the scene of an accident is being forwarded to the county attorney’s office, according to the report.

• 11:03 p.m. Saturday, 900 block of South Lincoln Street, a 56-year-old Ottawa woman was cited and released for a fireworks violation.

• 11:51 p.m. Saturday, North Baptist Church, 413 E. Wilson St., a 55-year-old Ottawa woman reported damage to a church door window.

• 4:38 p.m. Friday, Ottawa Police Department, 715 W. Second St., a 59-year-old Ottawa man reported the theft of an item.
