Free child identification kits and information to help consumers protect themselves from identity theft, scams and deceptive business practices will be offered at the Franklin County Fair, according to a release from the state Attorney General’s office.

“Protecting Kansas children and consumers are important priorities for our office,” Derek Schmidt, Kansas Attorney General, said in the release. “I hope folks will stop by our booth to learn more about how they can keep themselves and their families safe.”

The attorney general’s booth will be located outside Celebration Hall at the fairgrounds, 220 W. 17th St., Ottawa. Booth hours are slated for 1 to 8 p.m. July 20 through 22.
