Public Works Department crews will collect limbs from private yards at curbside, Ottawa city officials said, in the wake of Thursday night's storm.
Crews will begin collecting tree limbs Aug. 1, and continue until completed, according to a City of Ottawa news release.
To make collection easier and to limit possible damage to yards, the city asks residents to stack limbs parallel and close to the street curb. Collections cannot be made in alleys due to space limitations, according to the release.
The city also has a free collection site for residents to haul their own brush/limbs at the intersection of North Cherry Street and Enterprise Road, the release said. A sign is posted at the dump site area.
