A K-68 resurfacing project east of Ottawa that was scheduled to begin this week has been pushed back a week, the Kansas Department of Transportation said Wednesday in a news release.

The week of Aug. 14, weather permitting, KDOT expects to start the resurfacing project on K-68, beginning at Nevada Terrace and continuing east for 6 and a half miles to the K-33 junction.

A pilot car and flaggers will direct one-lane traffic through the work zone, with delays of 15 minutes or less during daylight hours Monday through Friday, the release said.

The work should be completed by the end of September, weather permitting, according to the release.
