Thefts

• 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, 2200 block of Florida Road, a 70-year-old Pomona woman reported someone stole a check from her mailbox.

• 10:11 a.m. Wednesday, 2600 block of Sand Creek Road, a 40-year-old Princeton man reported one of his employees stole about $6,950 from him, starting in early June. The case is under investigation.

• 11:36 a.m. Wednesday, 2600 block of Indiana Terrace, a 37-year-old Ottawa woman reported possible identity theft.

• 12:21 a.m. Thursday, Casey’s General Store, 210 E. Franklin St., reported an unknown subject drove off without paying for $41.62 in fuel.

• 7:47 a.m. Wednesday, 300 block of North Main Street, an unknown vehicle struck a street sign owned by the City of Ottawa and left the scene.

• 12:20 p.m. Thursday, 400 block of North Sycamore Street, a 42-year-old Ottawa man reported a past battery by a known 40-year-old suspect. Case is under investigation.

• 9:44 a.m. Wednesday, 1000 block of West 15th Street, a 88-year-old Ottawa man reported someone took money from his room. Case is under investigation.

• 4:08 p.m. Wednesday, 300 block of North Main Street, Dollar General reported an unknown suspect stole items from the business.

• 2:07 a.m. Friday, 700 block of South Cherry Street, a 28 year-old Ottawa woman reported an unknown subject took items from her residence.

Accidents

• 8:25 a.m. Thursday, 900 block of East Wilson Street, Cheyenne Mahan, 24, Ottawa, reported an unknown vehicle struck her vehicle and left the scene.

• 12:58 p.m. Thursday, 1500 block of East Logan Street, a 1993 Buick driven by Walter Elder, 68, Ottawa, was struck by a 2013 Freightliner driven by Steven Todd, 46, Kansas City, Missouri. No injuries. Todd was issued a citation for limitations on backing.
