Times may be tight, but the East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation (ECKAN) wants to make sure no families go without food or toys this holiday season.
The ECKAN Christmas Bureau is accepting applications for assistance beginning now through Nov. 27, the group announced in a press release.
“The Christmas Bureau is a program designed to help low income families during the Christmas holiday by providing toys for children and food for individuals and families,” the release said.
Those wishing to apply must do so at ECKAN’s Franklin County Community Center, 517 E. Third St., Ottawa, inside the Don Woodward ORC building.
For further questions, contact Teresia Templeton at (785) 242-7515.
Applications are due no later than Nov. 27, and verification of household income is required, the release said.
