WICHITA — Megan Davis of Princeton, daughter of Jack and Lisa Davis, was awarded the $500 Fred H. Woodbury Memorial Scholarship through the Kansas Livestock Foundation (KLF).
The scholarship was presented at the Kansas Livestock Association (KLA) annual convention, Nov. 29, in Wichita. Davis was one of 22 students awarded a total of $23,000 in scholarships through KLF.
Davis is a freshman majoring in pre-veterinary medicine at Hutchinson Community College. She was active in her FFA chapter and 4-H County Council, holding officer positions in both. She also was a member of National Honor Society, Key Club and Spanish Club. Davis assists with her family’s cow-calf and farrow-to-finish swine operations.
This scholarship is presented to a student attending a Kansas junior or senior college and pursuing a degree in agriculture. Preference is given to students living in Chase, Franklin, Lyon, Osage or Wabaunsee county.
