Sheriff’s Department Arrests

• 4:56 p.m. Friday, 200 block of East Franklin Street, Hannah Toumberlin, 18, Pomona, on three Franklin County warrants.

Police Department Arrests

• 7:54 p.m. Friday, Walmart Supercenter, 2101 S. Princeton St., Catherine Goins, 46, Osawatomie, and Rachel Payne, 23, Osawatomie, on suspicion of stealing items from the business.

• 1:02 p.m. Saturday, 300 block of South Main Street, Mikal Marlin, 27, Olathe, on suspicion of no insurance, after committing a traffic infraction.

• 8:46 p.m. Sunday, 600 block of East Wilson Street, Andrew Montgomery, 22, Ottawa, on suspicion of domestic battery, after a disturbance with a known individual. Montgomery also was arrested on suspicion of damaging property owned by the City of Ottawa.

• 8:46 p.m. Sunday, 600 block of East Wilson Street, Nealy Houston, 20, Ottawa, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 9:17 p.m. Sunday, 1000 block of North Mulberry Street, Leslie Lowery, 39, Ottawa, on suspicion of battery on law enforcement officer, reckless driving, child endangerment, interference with law enforcement and disorderly conduct, after being contacted by law enforcement.

• 1:16 a.m. Monday, 1600 block of South Main Street, George Ogle, 45, Ottawa, on suspicion of pedestrian under the influence, disorderly conduct and interference with law enforcement, after a disturbance at a business.

• 8:53 a.m. Monday, 1500 block of South Main Street, Julian Howard, 43, Ottawa, on suspicion of driving while suspended.

• 11:01 a.m. Monday, 500 block of South Cherry Street, Levi Oakes, 30, Ottawa, on a Franklin County warrant. At 11:15 a.m., Oakes also was arrested by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on other Franklin County warrants, according to a sheriff’s report.

• 1:29 p.m. Monday, 300 block of South Willow Street, Bryan Kennedy, 28, Ottawa, on suspicion of driving while suspended, no insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia and on a Kansas parole warrant, after being stopped for a traffic violation.

• 9:26 a.m. Saturday, Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center, 226 S. Beech St., a 17-year-old Olathe girl reported a known 17-year-old Wichita boy threatened her last week while they were both in custody at the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center. A report was forwarded to the county attorney’s office.


• 10:47 p.m. Friday, 4500 block of Stafford Terrace, a 2008 Honda CR-V driven by Mackenzie Sammons, 23, Wellsville, was eastbound on Stafford Terrace when it struck a deer that entered the roadway.

• 1:49 p.m. Sunday, 1900 block of Sand Creek Road, a 1997 Toyota driven by Jessica Leatherberry, 25, Ottawa, was eastbound on Sand Creek Road when a tire blew out and she lost control of the vehicle. The Toyota entered the ditch and crashed into a fence owned by a 75-year-old Ottawa man. No injuries were reported.

• 3:09 p.m. Monday, 700 block of Rock Creek Road, a 2001 Ford Ranger was westbound on Rock Creek Road when the driver, a 17-year-old Ottawa boy, lost control of the vehicle and it overturned in the south ditch. No injuries were reported.

• 10:26 a.m. Friday, 900 block of East Eighth Street, a 36-year-old Ottawa woman reported a dog attacked her dog and left the area. Case is under investigation.

• 5:35 p.m. Saturday, 300 block of North Main Street, Samuel Carver, 20, Ottawa, was cited and released on suspicion of possession of paraphernalia, after committing a traffic infraction.

• 9:18 a.m. Sunday, Canterbury Court, a 23-year-old Ottawa woman reported being harassed by a known 25-year-old Parsons man. Case is under investigation.

• 10:48 a.m. Monday, 1000 block of South Cedar Street, Tatianna Hurst, 20, Ottawa, was cited and released on suspicion of possession of marijuana.

• 11:43 a.m. Monday, 900 block of East Wilson Street, a 44-year-old Ottawa man reported a 13-year-old minor as a runaway.

• 9:29 p.m. Monday, 300 block of West Seventh Street, a 52-year-old Ottawa woman reported she had been battered by a known suspect. Case is under investigation.


• 8:54 a.m. Saturday, 1000 block of North Sycamore Street, a 52-year-old Ottawa man reported an unknown subject stole an item out of his yard.
