• 6:05 p.m. Sunday, 1600 block of South Main Street, Steven Brown, 51, Ottawa, on suspicion of pedestrian under the influence, after walking in traffic and being disruptive.

Accidents

• 8:54 a.m. Friday, 2500 block of Haskell Road, a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old, unidentified Ottawa man was eastbound on Haskell Road when he lost control of the vehicle and it entered a ditch before overturning. The man was transported by personal vehicle to Ransom Memorial Hospital, 1301 S. Main St., for treatment of injuries, according to a sheriff’s report.

• 6:01 p.m. Saturday, 1400 block of I-35 at milepost 170, a 1998 Nissan driven by Zoe Merz, 21, Emporia, was southbound on I-35 when she lost control of the vehicle on the icy roads. The Nissan left the roadway and overturned. Merz received minor injuries and was transported by personal vehicle to Ransom Memorial Hospital, 1301 S. Main St., for treatment.

• 6:11 p.m. Saturday, I-35 at milepost 170, Williamsburg, a 2004 Ford pickup driven by Bryan Federico, 52, Tracy, California, was southbound on I-35 when Federico swerved to the left to avoid hitting a stopped vehicle in the lane of travel. His truck left the roadway and rolled in the center median. No injuries were reported.

• 6:30 p.m. Saturday, I-35 at milepost 171, Williamsburg, a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Max Adams, 20, Ottawa, was northbound on I-35 when he lost control of the vehicle on the ice and it struck a guardrail. Adams’ truck was then struck from behind by a 2018 tractor-trailer driven by Jakob Weldown, 24, Wichita. No one was injured, a sheriff’s report said.

• 7:27 p.m. Saturday, 4700 block of K-68, Wellsville, a 1996 Ford Explorer driven by Evan Hills, 18, Ottawa, was westbound on K-68 when he lost control of the vehicle due to icy road conditions. The vehicle entered into the south ditch and overturned onto its side. No injuries were reported.

• 7:30 p.m. Saturday, 2500 block of I-35, Ottawa, a 2003 Kia Sorento driven by William Austin, 26, Emporia, was southbound on I-35 near milepost 181 when he lost control of the vehicle on the ice and it overturned. Austin’s passenger was checked for a possible injury but declined transport, the sheriff’s report said.

• 8:10 p.m. Saturday, 4800 block of K-68, Wellsville, a vehicle driven by Grace Cooper, 18, Lawrence, was westbound on K-68 when she lost control of the vehicle and it struck a guardrail. No injuries were reported.

• 10:53 p.m. Saturday, 200 block of K-68, Pomona, a 2000 Dodge Intrepid driven by Kayla Hempel, 18, Quenemo, was eastbound on K-68 when she lost control of the vehicle on icy roads and it left the roadway. No injuries were reported.

• 3:30 a.m. Sunday, 1600 block of I-35, Pomona, a 2008 Dodge Charger driven by Antonio Leachman, 23, Warrensburg, Missouri, was southbound on I-35 when he lost control of the vehicle. The Dodge left the roadway and rolled multiple times. Leachman was not injured and the vehicle was a total loss, the sheriff’s report said.

• 5:54 a.m. Sunday, 2400 block of Marshall Road, a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Maxwell Mayo, 20, Ottawa, was westbound on Marshall Road when he lost control of the vehicle on the icy road and it struck a bridge structure. No injuries were reported.

• 10:03 a.m. Sunday, 1900 block of U.S. 50, Ottawa, a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Ryan Jung, 38, was traveling southwest on U.S. 50 when he lost control of the vehicle on the icy road conditions and it entered a ditch before striking a barbed-wire fence. No injuries were reported.

• 12:56 p.m. Saturday, 300 block of East 23rd Street, a male suspect fled in a vehicle from officers, after they tried to contact him on a traffic stop.

Thefts

• 4:55 p.m. Saturday, Walmart Supercenter, 2101 S. Princeton St., Aleata Cross, 19, Rantoul, and Faith Tracy, 18, Rantoul, were contacted by police and each issued a notice to appear on suspicion of shoplifting from the store.

Accidents

• 7:04 p.m. Friday, 100 block of South Main Street, a 2008 Chevrolet driven by Maggie Davis, 25, Williamsburg, rear-ended a 2017 Chevrolet driven by Ernest Peters, 51, Erie, Kansas. Peters was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Davis was cited for inattentive driving,.

• 8:16 p.m. Saturday, I-35 on the off-ramp at milepost 182, a 1999 Mercury driven by Ferris Fuller, 30, Ottawa, rear-ended a 2018 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Edward Roach, 48, Vinita, Oklahoma, on the off-ramp. No injuries were reported. Fuller was cited for inattentive driving and arrested on suspicion of not having an ignition interlock device installed in his vehicle.
