• 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, 400 block of Hayes Street, Pomona, Margaret Apple, 50, Monroe, Minnesota, on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, after being stopped for a traffic infraction.

• 10:41 p.m. Tuesday, 1000 block of North Sycamore Street, Kayla Underwood, 28, Ottawa, on suspicion of driving while suspended, possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia, and transporting an open container, after being stopped for a traffic infraction.

Incidents

• 8:30 p.m. Monday, 3400 block of Pawnee Road, Derrek Ferguson, 18, Wellsville, was stopped in reference to a suspicious activity call and was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, according to a sheriff’s report. Ferguson was issued a notice to appear and released at the scene.

• 2:24 a.m. Tuesday, 500 block of East Franklin Street, Pomona, Shyanne Jones, 18, Pomona, was issued a notice to appear on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, after being contacted by law enforcement.

• 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, 3200 block of Allen Road, a 54-year-old Ottawa man reported an unknown subject damaged a gate on property at Richmond Lake. Estimated damage was $500.

Thefts

• 1:10 p.m. Monday, 400 block of West Franklin Street, Pomona, a Dollar General Store employee reported someone stole a woman’s wallet at the business. Estimated loss was $8.

Accidents

• 5:20 a.m. Tuesday, 2800 block of I-35, a 2008 Cadillac driven by Michael Fuller, 49, Ottawa, was traveling on I-35 when he lost control of the vehicle while crossing a bridge and it struck a barbed wire fence owned by Kansas Department of Transportation. No injuries were reported.

• 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, I-35 at milepost 200, a 2008 Chevrolet Impala driven by Scott Cramer, 43, Wellsville, was northbound on I-35 when it slid on the icy roadway and struck a bridge rail. No injuries reported.

• 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, 3500 block of U.S. 59, a 2002 F-250 driven by Matthew Riley, 35, Waverly, was northbound on U.S. 59 when he lost control of the vehicle due to icy road conditions and it struck a guard rail. No injuries reported.

• 5:49 a.m. Tuesday, 2800 block of I-35, a 2005 Chevrolet truck driven by Michael McSwane, 36, Pomona, was traveling on I-35 when he lost control of the truck while crossing a bridge, and the vehicle struck a tractor-trailer driven by Jack Stephens, 35, Pomona. The tractor-trailer jackknifed and left the roadway. No injuries were reported.

• 6:07 a.m. Tuesday, I-35 at milepost 200, a 2002 Honda Accord driven by James Hayward, 52, Princeton, was northbound on I-35 when it slid on the icy roadway and collided with a bridge rail. No injuries were reported.

• 6:28 a.m. Tuesday, 4100 block of U.S. 59, a 2002 Nissan Frontier driven by Thomas Egbert, 48, Garnett, was northbound on U.S. 59 when he lost control due to icy road conditions and the vehicle struck a bridge rail. No injuries were reported.

• 6:37 a.m. Tuesday, 2800 block of I-35, a vehicle driven by Marci Thompson, 23, Ottawa, was northbound on I-35 when she lost control of the vehicle due to icy road conditions and it struck a bridge. No injuries were reported.

• 7 a.m. Tuesday, 2800 block of I-35, a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Audrey Frick, 23, Kansas City, Kansas, was southbound on I-35 when she lost control on an icy bridge, struck a bridge rail and then was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Brady Croucher, 20, Ottawa. No injuries were reported.

• 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, 3900 block of U.S. 59, a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by Paul Johansen, 41, Lawrence, was southbound on U.S. 59 when he lost control due to icy road conditions and struck a guard rail. No injuries reported.

• 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, 3400 block of Oregon Road, a 2004 Dodge Ram driven by a 16-year-old Ottawa boy was northbound on Oregon Road when he lost control due to reckless driving on icy roads, according to a sheriff’s report. The vehicle then entered a ditch and struck a street sign. No injuries were reported. The 16-year-old driver was cited for reckless driving, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and operating a motor vehicle with no driver’s license.

• 11:49 a.m. Tuesday, 3500 block of I-35, a 2006 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by Omar Haji, Chaska, Minnesota, was northbound on I-35 when he lost control due to icy road conditions and it jack-knifed. No injuries were reported.

• 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, I-35 at milepost 178, a 2006 Honda Accord driven by Richard Warsnack, 45, Council Grove, slid off the roadway and down a rocky embankment. No injuries were reported.

• 3:47 p.m. Tuesday, I-35 at milepost 185, a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Donna Thomas, 51, La Cygne, was southbound on I-35 when she lost control due to icy road conditions and it struck a metal guard rail. Thomas had minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.

• 10:13 a.m. Monday, Adamson Brothers, 102 S. Walnut St., a 57-year-old Ottawa man reported an unknown subject stole items from outside his business.

• 10:30 a.m. Monday, 900 block of South Sycamore Street, a 70-year-old Ottawa man reported an unknown subject stole money.

• 8:22 a.m. Tuesday, 100 block of West Third Street, a 62-year-old Ottawa man reported the theft of a 2009 Lincoln. The vehicle was later recovered in another jurisdiction.
