The Kansas Department of Transportation has started a pavement marking project along I-35 that covers Franklin, Osage and Coffey counties, according to a KDOT news release.

The project begins at the I-35/US 75 junction and continues northeast to Eisenhower Road in Ottawa.

The existing pavement markings are being removed and replaced, the release said. North and southbound I-35 traffic will be restricted to one lane with a reduced speed limit at the work zone, the release said.

Weather permitting, the project should be finished by late July, according to the release.
