Anyone wanting to run for local office needs to file at the Franklin County Clerks office by June 1.
There are three seats being contested on the Franklin County Commission. The fee to file for that position is $253.91. Three positions are also up for election for the City of Pomona. Those positions require a $20 filing fee.
Also available are 48 Republican and 48 Democratic seats on the Franklin County Precinct Committee and all Township clerk positions. There is no charge to file for the Precinct Committees, and for Township Clerk, the fee is $1.
The primary election will be Aug. 7 and the general election is Nov. 6.
