Weather permitting, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) plans to start a pavement marking project on U.S. 59 from the I-35 junction north to the Franklin-Douglas county line today, according to a KDOT release.
“The contractor will move off the project over the Memorial Day weekend and resume operations on Tuesday, May 29,” the release said. “U.S. 59 north and southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane at the work zone, with no significant delays expected.”
According to the release, KDOT awarded the construction contract of $209,000 to Twin Traffic Marking Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri.
